In April 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic started and I was put on furlough, I found myself with a lot of spare time on my hands!

A View From The Sofa originally started when I had the idea to make a newsletter that I was going to post to my family. One thing led to another and a digital 'quaranzine' sounded even more fun. With a little help from a bunch of friends and contributors from across England, I managed to put together issue 1 within less than a week. The zine is all about radiating positivity and a little light-hearted amusement during the pandemic when we're all in lockdown. Since April 2020, I have released five issues with topics such as; music, literature, food, supporting local independents, art and TV.

Using Adobe InDesign, I designed each zine with a colour scheme focusing around one base colour to create a coherent style and theme across each issue. With the content, I created a basic plan of the type of content I wanted to include with specific people in mind to fulfil those areas. Collaboratively, people had their own ideas and suggestions which made it even more personal with each article.

All three issues are available to read here on issuu.
